Welcome to Our Church
Large enough to serve you, small enough to know you.
The mission of Hopewell United Methodist Church is to share hope through the good news of Jesus Christ. We dedicate ourselves to Christian service through example and outreach.
Dear Hopewell UMC Church Family:
Grace and the Peace of Jesus Christ guard your hearts and minds in every circumstance and season. We hold on to a Loving and Almighty God. I encourage you at this time to seek the comfort and assurances found in Scripture for God’s people. You may want to give special attention to Psalm 91.
It is my joy, and the joy of my family to know that God has specially appointed that we should share ministry together beginning in the next few months. It has been very encouraging for me to view some of your Services on your website. Even the limitations of not being there physically cannot diminish the sense that I have of a loving and committed church.
I also so very much appreciate the wonderful sermons from Pastor Ted. I know that he and Pat have been a great blessing to you in this time. I trust that your prayers and support for them will continue during this important season of their lives. So thankful also for Flo and Becky’s leadership and the wonderful choir. Also, great job Jimmy O’Brien! Who knew just how important video Services would be until this crisis?! I look forward to getting to know each of you in more detail in God’s time. You may refer to the brief biography below for some details about us.
I have confidence in God’s bright future for His people, and we know He is faithful and the source of our hope and confidence. After working through the new Conference transition schedule, I find that I will have the opportunity to begin a July sermon series with you on July 5th. I understand that many of you are proud Veterans and I am also proud of our Country, and proud to be a Veteran having served six years in the Army National Guard and Reserves from 1982-1988. We will plan to celebrate in a big way in July that God truly has Blessed America!
Prayers for you all in Jesus Christ,
